3mm black dense foam track underlay 1m x 50cm

High quality, dense, durable black foam sheet for various modelling applications including model railways. It is used for modelling track bed to reduce vibration through baseboards and to create the ballast shoulder. Suitable for N, TT, OO, HO and O gauge. This is not the low density foam as supplied by train set manufacturers which is not as durable.

Other applications include stock box lining, cushioning for layout duck-unders and dark tunnel liners which are not hard, so any stock touching the sides of tunnels will not be adversely affected.

It can be cut with scissors or a sharp modelling knife to any desired shape.

1000mm by 500mm approx.

3mm thick to match traditional cork underlay.
Apply to the baseboards with carpet or PVA glue and press down gently with a roller or hands for a secure bond. Please ensure that any glue you plan to use, including carpet glue, is 'foam safe'.
